Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging modalities, anatomy, and physiology, along with excellent technical and patient care skills. Experience in emergency medicine, trauma centers, and advanced imaging techniques is highly desirable. The Radiographer will work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results while maintaining the highest standards of safety and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray, PET scan, CT, Mammography, DEXA scan, and sonography devices.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring proper positioning.
  • Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures when necessary.
  • Accurately capture high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation, ensuring proper identification of anatomical structures.
  • Assist in complex procedures such as nuclear medicine, emergency room imaging, and Level I or Level II trauma center assessments.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures performed and ensure images are correctly labeled and stored in compliance with medical terminology standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret images and provide preliminary assessments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols related to radiation exposure and patient protection during all imaging procedures.
  • Keep equipment well-maintained and report any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Radiographer (ARRT or equivalent) with valid licensure.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic radiology, including X-ray, CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, and sonography.
  • Prior experience working in emergency medicine settings such as urgent care centers or Level I/Level II trauma centers preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices during invasive procedures.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluation accurately under pressure in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or trauma centers.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
