Position Title: Trainer – RAC (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning), Brazing, and Soldering
Department: Skill Development & Training
Location: Gummidipoondi

Reports To: Center Manager

Position Overview

The Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on training in the domains of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC), Brazing, and Soldering to students enrolled in the skill development program. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that students acquire the technical skills necessary to secure employment or start their own businesses in these industries. The Trainer will facilitate practical and theoretical lessons, assess student performance, and support students throughout the training and placement process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery & Instruction:
  • Develop and deliver structured training sessions on RAC, Brazing, and Soldering, combining theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on experience.
  • Use modern training techniques, equipment, and tools to ensure students are equipped with industry-relevant skills.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Ensure that training follows industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Curriculum Development & Planning:
  • Design and develop training modules, lesson plans, and course materials for RAC, Brazing, and Soldering.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the program coordinator and other trainers to ensure alignment of the curriculum with program objectives and employer requirements.
  • Assessment & Evaluation:
  • Assess and evaluate students’ practical and theoretical knowledge through tests, assignments, and practical demonstrations.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance and areas of improvement.
  • Identify students' strengths and weaknesses and adapt the training approach to meet their needs.
  • Track students' progress and maintain detailed records of their attendance, performance, and assessments.
  • Skill Development & Placement Support:
  • Work closely with the Program Coordinator to align training outcomes with industry requirements and placement opportunities.
  • Support students in building resumes, preparing for interviews, and understanding employer expectations in the RAC, Brazing, and Soldering industries.
  • Help facilitate students’ transition from training to job placement by conducting mock interviews, job readiness workshops, and providing guidance on professional conduct.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all training activities comply with safety standards and best practices.
  • Promote a safe learning environment by emphasizing the importance of using safety gear, proper tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor students’ adherence to safety guidelines during practical training sessions and address any concerns immediately.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and certifications in the RAC, Brazing, and Soldering industries.
  • Regularly review and improve training delivery methods to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Participate in training workshops, seminars, and conferences to develop and refine professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Diploma or Degree in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Any certifications in Brazing, Soldering, or other related technical areas would be an added advantage.
  • Experience:
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in the RAC, Brazing, and Soldering fields, with a strong understanding of industry techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Prior experience in training, teaching, or mentoring is preferred, especially in a vocational or skill development setting.
  • Hands-on experience with various RAC systems, equipment, and brazing/soldering techniques is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Strong technical knowledge of RAC systems, brazing, and soldering techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students from different educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in using training equipment, tools, and modern educational technology.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage student progress and administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with the challenges faced by underprivileged communities and a passion for empowering them through skill development.

Working Conditions:

  • The role may involve working in both indoor (classroom) and outdoor (field/industrial) settings.
  • Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate practical sessions and student needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
