Quantity Surveyor

Role & responsibilities

• Review and analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, and contract conditions.
• Prepare accurate quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with project requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive quotations and material costs.
• Support the preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions.
• Conduct cost comparisons and value engineering assessments.
• Evaluate risks and propose mitigation strategies in the cost plan.
• Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required.
• Maintain updated cost databases, price lists, and records of current market rates.

Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and project management teams

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tendering procedures.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and industry practices.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software

• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in pre-contract quantity surveying and tendering roles.
• Experience in infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects is preferred.
