Quant Analyst

As a Quantitative Analyst at UBS, you will play a crucial role in driving lasting business impact through the development of state-of-the-art quantitative models, applications, and strategies. Your expertise in market knowledge, client needs, and best practices in trading, investment, and risk processes will be essential in this role. Your responsibilities will include participating in the development of models for credit parameters such as probability of Default (PD) and loss given default (LGD) used in regulatory capital calculations and stress testing. You will research, develop, prototype, and implement new modeling, calculation, and reporting approaches in a continuous improvement cycle. Additionally, you will assess model performance through quantitative and statistical tests and collaborate with internal risk managers to explain model outputs and perform portfolio analysis. You will be part of the Credit Corporate Risk Models Stream team in Mumbai, India, responsible for developing, maintaining, and documenting models used to estimate credit risk. Your strong experience and knowledge in areas such as IRB PD/LGD, issuer risk modeling, credit risk stress testing models, and regulatory frameworks will be valuable in this role. To excel in this position, you should possess an advanced degree in finance, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or a related quantitative subject. Strong programming skills in R, Python, and Excel are required, along with the ability to communicate complex concepts logically and precisely.
