1. Supervise and monitor daily quality assurance activities in mechanical and electrical assembly lines.
2. Ensure products meet required specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
3. Conduct in-process inspections, final quality checks, and audits.
4. Identify, document, and report defects, non-conformities, and process deviations.
5. Work closely with production and engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
6. Maintain records of inspections, test results, and quality reports.
7. Train and guide assembly operators and technicians on quality standards and best practices.
8. Ensure adherence to ISO, safety, and regulatory compliance in all assembly operations.
9. Analyze recurring quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Monitor and control usage of tools, gauges, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and calibration.
11. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for incoming material inspection and quality approvals.
12. Prepare and present quality metrics, shift reports, and defect analysis to management.
13. Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement process improvements to reduce rework and scrap.
14. Enforce workplace discipline, safety, and cleanliness on the shop.
1. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
2. 4 to 7 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within mechanical or electrical assembly, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
3. Strong knowledge of assembly processes, quality tools, and defect analysis techniques.
4. Hands-on experience with inspection methods, gauges, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment.
5. Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant industry standards.
6. Good understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
7. Strong leadership and people management skills to guide and motivate quality inspectors/technicians.
8. Proficiency in quality reporting, record-keeping, and basic computer applications (ERP/Microsoft Office).
9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA).
10. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to enforce compliance.
11. Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with production, engineering, and supplier teams.
12. Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to dynamic production requirements.
13. Would be an advantage if they are experienced in BIS Lab.
