Quality Officer (Compliance)

Job Purpose

Responsible for quality and compliance work in Inspection department. Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns during inspection at site are being appropriately identified, evaluated and communicate. The role of a Quality officer, is to make sure that a Quality Engineers are conducting their business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to its particular industry, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and Intertek s internal standards.

There is both an ethical component and a pragmatic component to compliance - a role that is crucial in helping organization to manage risk, maintain a positive reputation, and prevent deviations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Responsibilities for performing the surprise audits, Onsite Audits , Mystery audits and Witness audits
• Responsibilities for performing the telephone audits frequently and recording the findings in the reports.
• Providing the feedback to the quality engineer during surprise visit findings.
• Reviewing the shipment samples and reference samples and providing the feedback to the Quality engineers
• Conducting training on Intertek compliance policy and procedures to the quality engineers.
• Recording and Maintaining the telephone and surprise audits records. Communicating same to Compliance Managers.
• Monitoring the shipment sample and reference sample register regularly.
• Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk during onsite Inspection activities; communicate corrective actions for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
• Conducting process audit within Inspections operation and ensuring the compliance.

Qualification, Skills & Experience ;

• Diploma in Textile Technology or Bachelor (B Tech) of textile technology
• Computer proficiency
• Minimum 8 years experience in Third party inspections or garment industry (preferably in Quality Inspection)
• Knowledge of Fabrics, Various types of Garments and Hard goods inspections.
