Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that raw materials, in-process components, and finished products meet the quality standards set by both the company and its customers. Your responsibilities will include conducting various types of inspections, utilizing precision measuring instruments, identifying defects, and suggesting corrective actions to maintain high product quality in the automotive components sector. - Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components and products. - Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and specifications. - Identify defects and deviations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requirements. - Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions for non-conforming products. - Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) evaluations. - Enter inspection data and quality reports into the ERP system. - Maintain accurate records of rejected parts, rework, and corrective actions within ERP. - Generate and analyze quality reports from ERP for decision-making. - Assist in updating and maintaining ERP modules related to quality control. - Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other industry-specific quality standards. - Maintain and update inspection checklists, test reports, and control plans. - Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure compliance with customer audits and regulatory requirements. - Coordinate with production, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. - Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. - Recommend improvements in processes and inspection techniques to enhance efficiency. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. - Experience: 2-5 years in quality inspection, preferably in an automotive components manufacturing setup. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in measuring instruments and GD&T, familiarity with quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving, experience working with ERP systems for quality reporting and data entry. - Soft Skills: Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities.
