JD:

Qualification:

Diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical/production engineering or relevant field

Experience:

Perform inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process parts, and final products as per control plans and quality standards.
Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM, and surface testers.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and material specifications.
Identify and segregate non-conforming parts and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
Maintain proper documentation of inspection results, checklists, and reports.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation (8D, 5 Why, CAPA).
Assist in first article inspection (FAI) and PPAP documentation (if applicable).
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality management systems.
Report any quality trends, abnormalities, or deviations to the QA/QC lead or manager.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure corrective measures.

Technical Skillset

Hands-on experience with
basic and advanced measuring tools
.
Strong knowledge of
GD&T, ISO standards
, and quality control procedures.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Good communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
Knowledge of
MS Office, ERP systems
or
QMS software
is a plus
Experience in precision engineering components.
Exposure to PPAP, SPC, MSA, and control plans.
