Job Description

As a Quality & Execution Engineer for Electrical Commodities in Coimbatore, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and execution processes for various electrical components such as cables, wiring harnesses, transformers, and inductors. Your role will involve developing and implementing inspection and testing protocols, monitoring supplier quality performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards like IEC, UL, and IS. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing inspection and testing protocols for electrical commodities - Monitoring supplier quality performance and leading corrective/preventive actions - Performing quality audits at vendor and manufacturing locations - Interpreting electrical drawings and technical specifications for conformance checks - Ensuring adherence to standards such as IEC, UL, IS, or customer-specific requirements - Managing the execution of procurement and manufacturing plans for multiple electrical SKUs - Coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and first-pass quality - Tracking project timelines, delivery schedules, and quality milestones - Maintaining complete quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, and traceability documentation Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field - Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality & Execution roles handling electrical commodities - Strong technical knowledge in cables, wire harnesses, transformers, inductors, and related components - Familiarity with ISO 9001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL/IEC standards - Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and documentation tools - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple SKUs/projects simultaneously - Excellent communication and vendor management skills If you have experience in EMS or OEM environments dealing with custom electrical assemblies, exposure to lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, or hands-on experience in supplier development and localization, it would be a plus for this role.
