The typical duties they perform include conducting quality audits, assisting with developing process controls, creating training documents, and providing assistance in the development and implementation of a material requirement planning system. As an SCM intern, you are expected to work closely with the supply chain manager to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the supply chain. You are also expected to assist in analyzing data related to business operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution Coordination Support day-to-day follow-ups with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely quotation and execution. Coordinate with logistics partners to track and ensure smooth movement of goods. Co-ordinate between different departments to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables. 2. Supplier Interaction & Offer Management Interact with suppliers for project-specific requirements and follow up on quotation submissions. Ensure timely receipt of offers and maintain proper documentation and communication records. Track and escalate any delays in supplier communication or deliverables. 3. Vendor Management & ISO Compliance Create and manage supplier Purchase Orders (POs) in the platform. Maintain and update the vendor database in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Assist in vendor onboarding activities, ensuring all documentation and due diligence are complete. Conduct periodic audits of vendor profiles and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Co-ordinate and follow up with the vendors to get the quote on time. 4. Platform Management & Tech Implementation Update project progress and daily status reports on the internal supply chain platform. Ensure real-time visibility of project milestones and flag any deviations. Assist in improving digital tracking processes and reporting tools. Job Title: Quality & Execution Engineer – Electrical Commodities (Cables, Harness, Transformers, Inductors) Location: Coimbatore Experience Level: 4–5 years (preferred) in Quality & Execution roles with electrical commodities Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality & Execution Engineer to oversee the quality assurance and execution processes for various electrical commodities, including cables, wiring harnesses, transformers, inductors, and other electrical components. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth technical knowledge, hands-on experience managing multiple electrical SKUs, and a strong ability to ensure end-to-end execution with all required documentation and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance: Develop and implement inspection and testing protocols for incoming and outgoing electrical commodities. Monitor supplier quality performance and lead corrective/preventive action initiatives (CAPA). Perform quality audits at vendor and manufacturing locations. Interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications for conformance checks. Ensure adherence to standards such as IEC, UL, IS, or customer-specific requirements. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability). Execution: Manage the execution of procurement and manufacturing plans for multiple electrical SKUs. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and first-pass quality. Track project timelines, delivery schedules, and quality milestones. Ensure execution compliance through standardized documentation – such as inspection reports, PPAP, FAI, and process flows. Interface with cross-functional teams to resolve execution-related issues (design, production, sourcing). Documentation & Compliance: Maintain complete quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, and traceability documentation. Prepare detailed reports for NCRs, deviation approvals, and supplier improvement actions. Ensure all project documentation meets internal quality standards and customer requirements. Support regulatory and compliance audits with accurate technical documentation. Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality & Execution roles handling electrical commodities. Strong technical knowledge in cables, wire harnesses, transformers, inductors, and related components. Familiarity with ISO 9001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL/IEC standards. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and documentation tools. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple SKUs/projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and vendor management skills. Preferred Experience: Experience in EMS or OEM environments dealing with custom electrical assemblies. Exposure to lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Hands-on experience in supplier development and localization.
