Project Role Description :Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of quality engineers, guiding them through the complexities of multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications, while also developing and implementing effective testing strategies that align with business objectives. You will focus on enhancing the quality processes and methodologies, ensuring that the team is equipped to manage the testing lifecycle efficiently and effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Expected to be an SME.

Collaborate and manage the team to perform.

Responsible for team decisions.

Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions, also mentor and guide junior and mid-level automation engineers.

Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.

Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Monitor and report on testing progress, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.

Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA engineers for test planning and issue triage.

Define automation standards, best practices, and code reviews for the team.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must To Have
Skills:

Proficiency in Automated Testing, Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Strong understanding of various automated testing frameworks and tools.

Good understanding of Node.js ecosystem, npm, package management and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).

Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases, Git (branching, merging, PRs) test reporting tools like Allure, Mochawesome, or custom dashboards.

Ability to analyze test results and provide actionable insights and lead the QA automation strategy and framework design using Playwright (JavaScript).

Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.

Ability to Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end UI and API test suites and Integrate automation suites into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Ability to develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript).

Additional Information:

The candidate should have 7–10 years overall QA experience , 3+ years in Playwright automation.

This position is based at our Gurugram office.

A 15 years full time education is required.
