Working in a cross-disciplinary team Quality Engineers will use a variety of techniques to plan then design and execute test cases across one or more types of testing (FT/NFT/BAT). Understands the importance of testing and the Quality Framework within LBG and advocates these to other change disciplines. Awareness of the test automation framework and coding standards deployed withing the team. Attends Communities of Practice & Guilds and shares learning to members of their team. Participates in improvement working groups. Keen to develop their technical knowledge and understanding as well develop, practice and demonstrate the workplace skills and behaviours required for this job role. Job Description What you ll need, Strong working knowledge of the used language, tools, and technology stack. This includes: Gherkin, Cucumber, Java, Jenkins, Jira Able to demonstrate a good level of hands-on experience of the above technology/language. Strong domain knowledge of International and high value payment (ideally CHAPS) landscape (products/scheme) Strong understanding of agile practices and mindset Clear understanding of release pipelines and steps in each stage of the process. Consistently demonstrates upholding and sharing of team code review guidelines. Shows curiosity and drive to continuously learn new coding techniques and methodologies. Demonstrates a drive to maintain product knowledge, which remains current, of our End to End business flows/journeys. Shows initiative and bias to capture knowledge and update documentation. Experience in a variety of tools to include test execution and prep e.g Jira, Confluence, Cucumber, GitHub Able to communicate clearly and explain and question technical solutions within the team. Able to clearly articulate and document (when required) the planned test strategy and approach for each change. Nice-to-Have Skills, Finastra s GPP product knowledge and hands on experience (If not GPP then any similar payments engine experience) Experience of Industry testing and the different schemes Knowledge and experience of Non Functional testing Experience driving test innovation and streamlining testing process
