Quality control technician

You will be responsible for conducting seed health testing activities, including detecting viruses and viroids by PCR and ELISA, bacteria by dilution plating and PCR, and fungi by blotter test and other diagnostic methods. Your main goal will be to ensure accuracy and efficiency in pathogens diagnostics and reporting. Additionally, you will conduct seed sampling for laboratory testing following ISTA standard methods. It will be your responsibility to prepare samples for each lab test method according to standard operating procedures. You will also plan and conduct inter-lab and intra-lab activities, follow up on results, analyze and summarize data, and maintain Masterfile, lab records, and result reports in a standard format. In addition, you will monitor the temperature in various incubators, growth rooms, and chambers to ensure accurate and consistent testing. Inventory management of chemicals and lab supplies, as well as maintaining the lab in a clean and safe manner, will also be part of your duties. Your role will involve monitoring the lab environment to prevent contamination in the Seed Health Testing working area and ensuring that all seed health testing activities are performed in compliance with global standards.
