Quality Control Manager

Quality System Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, ASTM, and other relevant industry standards.
• Oversee incoming raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product testing for  steel products.

Inspection & Testing:

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical, chemical, and metallurgical testing.
• Ensure equipment calibration and validation is up to date and documented.
• Analyze defects and conduct root cause analyses for non-conforming products.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and manage a team of quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers.
• Set quality objectives and monitor performance metrics.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations as they relate to product quality.
• Maintain detailed documentation and generate quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Customer Interaction:

• Interface with customers on quality-related issues, audits, and complaint resolutions.
• Collaborate with the sales and product development teams to align quality expectations.

Continuous Improvement:

• Use lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce defects and improve processes.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel .
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 5 Whys, and control charts.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and quality management software.
