Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA lead to oversee testing activities and facilitate the successful execution of intricate software development projects. As the ideal candidate, you will be tasked with coordinating QA tasks in conjunction with vendor teams, making prompt decisions, and offering practical resolutions to complex issues. Your role will require a robust ability to comprehend requirements from a business user perspective and operate efficiently in a dynamic environment with stringent deadlines. Collaboration with diverse stakeholders from IT and business user segments in the context of a sophisticated end-to-end trading platform is pivotal. Your technical proficiency should encompass a solid grasp of Database, SQL, and UNIX systems, along with a strong Techno-Functional aptitude to enhance testing efficiency and streamline processes. Familiarity with API testing is desirable, and experience in QA automation would be advantageous. Exposure to CI/CD, Build and deployment processes, as well as knowledge/experience in performance testing, will be beneficial. With 8-10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles and a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, you are expected to excel in this position. A background in the CTRM domain is preferred, alternatively, substantial experience in the capital markets domain is essential. Your responsibilities will include mentoring cross-functional teams, offering subject matter expertise on test coverage, driving testing process enhancements, developing and reviewing test cases and plans, and effectively communicating analytical findings. You will be required to deepen your functional and domain knowledge, collaborate with QA leads to establish and pursue software quality objectives, and oversee end-to-end testing activities for strategic releases, including integration testing. Operating in a dynamic environment, you must maintain strong relationships with business analysis, development, and business user groups, work closely with vendor partners to define test strategies, and monitor testing progress. Key competencies for this role include exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal capabilities for collaborating with vendor teams and global IT stakeholders, and meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, you should be comfortable engaging with senior management, possess robust analytical and problem-solving skills, and be adept at fostering strong working relationships. Within the TGS Trading IT department, you will contribute to the front-to-back delivery of diverse applications supporting Trafigura's Oil & Metals trading operations.,
