Quality Assurance Manager

Must Have:

4 - 7 years of QA experience

Proficiency in test automation scripting, experience with test automation tools, strong end-to-end testing, and ability to write test cases and translate it into code (Don't need to build frameworks, but add test cases)

Strong backend testing experience testing APIs and ability to read and understanding development code

Ability to write basic SQL statements

Nice to Have:

Relevant QA Certifications: Certs: ISTQB or CSQE

Experience with advanced automation frameworks

Experience with CI/CD integration adding QA to Automation

Experience at product-based companies

Experience working cross functionally with Dev, Product, Program, etc.

Digital advertising industry experience Growing expertise in JavaScript, Python, or Java

What does a day to day look like for the position

The QAE II will independently manage testing activities including authoring comprehensive test plans, executing complex test scenarios, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, mentoring junior team members, providing status updates to stakeholders and proactively identifying quality improvement opportunities. They'll work with minimal oversight, taking ownership of testing processes and quality across project teams.

What are the main challenges this role is looking to solve for

This role aims to prevent defect escapes, improve testing efficiency through automation, identify and address ambiguous requirements, analyze root causes of defects and drive overall quality improvements. The QAE II will help standardize testing processes and mentor less experienced team members.

Development teams, Product teams, Project Managers, other QA team members and business stakeholders.

What technology will this person use in this role

Advanced test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, UFT, TestNG, Cypress), API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI, REST-Assured), SQL for database interactions, programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java), test management tools, project workflow tools, and version control systems.

What does onboarding look like for this role

Onboarding will include deeper immersion into client's Products, understanding upstream/downstream applications, learning advanced testing methodologies used by the team and quickly taking ownership of testing processes with minimal guidance.
