Quality Assurance Engineer (Health Care)

Job Description

Position Overview: Aster Digital Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our digital health products by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. This role is crucial to maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our digital health solutions. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Execution & Automation • Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks for web and mobile applications. • Perform manual and automated API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate. • Validate workflow changes and integrations across applications. 2. Performance & Security Testing • Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter to identify application bottlenecks. • Conduct integration testing of application being developed with third party systems, in house core systems like HIS, LIS etc. • Lead Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) initiatives by working with security teams and external auditors. 3. Test Planning & Strategy • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices to ensure complete test coverage. • Implement best practices in test automation, CI/CD, and shift-left testing. • Collaborate with Product/Development teams to define acceptance criteria and identify edge cases early. 4. Leadership & Process Improvement • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers to enhance overall team performance. • Define and implement QA best practices, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency. • Actively participate in sprint planning, defect triage, and release management. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience in software testing, with expertise in API, web, and mobile application testing. • Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI. • Hands-on experience in performance testing using JMeter. • Experience with VAPT, working with security teams to identify vulnerabilities. • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud-based testing (AWS). • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). • Certification in ISTQB, CSTE, or security testing is a plus. • Project management (JIRA, Notion, Kanban
