Job Description

As a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring software quality, functionality, and reliability in an AWS infrastructure environment. Working closely with developers and stakeholders, your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, identifying bugs, and developing automated test scripts. Here's what you need to know: **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyse requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to prepare detailed test cases and test scenarios. - Execute various types of testing including functional, integration, regression, UI/UX, smoke, and sanity testing. - Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and create detailed test plans. - Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured. - Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and automate end-to-end tests for applications hosted in AWS. - Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to validate deployments and monitor test environments. - Monitor and analyze test runs using tools like CloudWatch or CloudTrail. - Contribute to test coverage improvements and ensure properly configured test environments. - Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable feedback to the team. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. - 2-4 years of experience in QA testing with a mix of manual and automation. - Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr). - Strong knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks. - Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation: Python and/or Java. - Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow). - Good knowledge in SQL queries. **Additional Details:** The existing team you will be a part of includes Developers, QA, Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects with strong technical and analytical skills. This is a full-time opportunity with Clarivate, with 9 hours per day including a lunch break.
