Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building robust automated tests for web, API, and mobile applications using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, and RestAssured. - Collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to define and execute test plans and strategies. - Integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. - Performing code reviews and mentoring junior QA engineers on automation best practices. - Ensuring quality metrics are captured and defects are documented and tracked via JIRA or similar tools. - Developing BDD scenarios and integrating with Cucumber or similar tools. - Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. - Identifying performance bottlenecks and assisting in performance testing when needed. Qualifications required for this role: - Strong programming skills in Java with a test automation focus. - 1+ years of experience with a test automation focus. - Hands-on expertise with Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent for web automation. - Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, REST-assured, or similar. - Strong knowledge of testing principles, SDLC, Agile methodology, and defect lifecycle. - Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
