Job Summary:

MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS-MEP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for

  MEP works

  based on drawings and specifications.
• Prepare project cost plans and budgets specific to MEP scope (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting).
  
• Assist in preparing tender documents, scope of works, and technical BOQs.
  
• Evaluate MEP subcontractor quotations, analyze rates, and assist in vendor negotiations.
  
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure material and subcontractor selection aligns with budget and quality.
  
• Assist in drafting and reviewing subcontractor work orders and contracts for MEP services.
  
• Monitor project budgets, track actual costs, and report variances.
  
• Manage and prepare MEP variation claims, cost impact analyses, and rate build-ups.
  
• Evaluate subcontractor change orders and ensure cost compliance.
  
• Prepare and verify MEP subcontractor bills and client bills related to MEP scope.
  
• Certify progressive payments and ensure alignment with actual site work.
  
• Coordinate with finance and accounts team for timely processing of invoices.
  
• Collaborate with site engineers, planning teams, and consultants to ensure proper quantity tracking and progress updates.
  
• Conduct periodic site visits to verify measurements and validate progress claims.
  
• Maintain and update logs for MEP quantities, variations, billing status, and contractual correspondences.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  
• 8

  to 10 years of relevant experience in

  MEP quantity surveying for high-rise building projects

  .
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
  
• Proficiency in quantity surveying tools like

  MS Excel, AutoCAD, and CostX / Bluebeam / Candy (preferred)

  .
• Familiarity with local codes, IS standards, and contractual practices (FIDIC knowledge is a plus).
  
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external vendors.
  

Preferred Experience:

• Worked on

  Highrise Buildings of 20+ floors

  .
• Exposure to

  Mivan or precast construction projects

  .
