Job Description: You are looking for a QE Service Manager role in Kochi, Trivandrum. As a QE Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading quality engineering services within an organization to ensure high-quality standards and optimized testing processes. Your main duties will include managing a team of quality engineers, overseeing testing strategies, driving process improvements, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will be leading, mentoring, and managing a team of quality engineers and testers to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities will be key to enhancing team capabilities. Your role will involve overseeing QE service delivery, ensuring timely completion of quality engineering activities in line with business goals. You will define, implement, and monitor service-level agreements for quality engineering services and manage resource allocation across multiple testing projects for optimal utilization. Developing and executing testing strategies aligned with business objectives will be crucial. You will ensure comprehensive test plans are created, executed, and documented for software products and services. Overseeing various testing activities such as functional, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing will also be part of your responsibilities. Identifying and implementing improvements in quality processes and testing methodologies will be essential. You will introduce best practices and tools to enhance testing accuracy, speed, and coverage, as well as analyze testing metrics and data to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating with product management, development, and business stakeholders to define quality objectives will be necessary. Communicating testing progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders and leadership, as well as acting as the primary point of contact for quality-related concerns and issue resolution, will be part of your role. You will be responsible for identifying risks related to product quality, testing timelines, and resources, and developing mitigation strategies. Addressing testing issues proactively to minimize business impact and providing detailed reports on quality risks and proposed solutions will also be important. Tracking and reporting key quality metrics, maintaining up-to-date documentation of testing activities, and providing regular status reports to senior management on overall product quality and testing processes will be part of your responsibilities. Managing relationships with internal and external clients to ensure quality requirements are met, providing regular updates and recommendations on quality engineering efforts and product quality will be crucial. Your qualifications should include at least 5 years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or quality assurance, as well as experience managing a team of quality engineers or testers. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are required, along with proficiency in testing tools and methodologies. ISTQB certification and certifications in Project Management are preferred, and experience with Agile methodologies and other software development models is necessary. Preferred skills include experience with CI/CD processes, automation frameworks, performance testing tools, security testing, and cloud-based applications and platforms.
