Job Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Chemist is responsible for conducting quality control tests and ensuring the chemical products meet established standards of quality and safety. The role involves performing analytical tests, documenting results, and collaborating with the production and R&D teams to maintain the highest standards in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Testing: Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Analytical Techniques: Utilize a variety of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, FTIR, titration, and others to assess the quality of chemical products.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all test results and maintain records in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, GMP).
  • Calibration & Maintenance: Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated and maintained according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, regulatory guidelines, and company policies related to chemical handling and testing.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, working with the production and R&D teams to find solutions and improve processes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and supply chain, to ensure quality objectives are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of years of experience0-2 years in quality control or analytical chemistry in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, etc. Strong understanding of chemical testing methods and quality standards.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO, GMP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively document and report findings.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
