QA Trainee

As a Trainee QA at our organization in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing formal QA processes to ensure that our team adheres to industry-accepted best practices. Engaging in discussions with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to devising superior QA solutions at an organizational level. Your responsibilities will include the creation and upkeep of QA documentation and the management of external contract testers as needed. You will be tasked with developing and implementing test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures, both manually and through automation, in alignment with client requirements. Throughout the software development process, you will diligently log, track, and resolve defects. It is essential to develop an expert understanding of our internal systems, content library, components, and interfaces, and provide recommendations for their enhancement and maintenance. To excel in this role, you should possess a solid grasp of various test methodologies and tools, including performance, scale, functional, unit, and code coverage testing. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, along with the ability to work independently. Familiarity with the QA's role in the development process is essential, and knowledge of automated software testing tools like Selenium for web-based applications is beneficial. Moreover, having proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, .NET, and familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and mobile handset testing (Android, iPhone, Windows phone) is advantageous. Experience with versioning systems like Subversion (SVN), bug tracking tools like JIRA, and expertise in testing eLearning products will be highly valued. Your ability to organize intricate functionalities into comprehensive test plans and generate clear bug reports with actionable steps will be integral to your success in this role.,
