Automation QA Lead - Kolkata

Experience

8 to 12 years total QA experience
Minimum 5 to 7 years in automationMinimum 2 to 4 years in a QA lead role on enterprise size projects

Key Responsibilities

1. Own QA strategy for enterprise size applications including automation scope quality gates and release readiness sign off
2. Lead and grow the QA team including hiring onboarding mentoring and performance guidance
3. Architect build and maintain automation frameworks for UI API integration and regression suites
4. Drive Agile sprint QA activities including estimation planning test approach and risk based coverage
5. Ensure quality across multiple environments such as dev QA UAT staging and production with strong reporting
6. Lead integration testing across services third party APIs and complex workflows
7. Enable CI CD driven automated test execution with clear reports flaky test control and fast feedback loops
8. Use AI assisted QA tools to speed up test case design automation development test data creation and defect triage while maintaining correctness and security
9. Partner with engineering product and DevOps to improve testability shift left practices and quality governance
10. Track and communicate quality metrics automation coverage pass rate defect leakage and release risk trends

Must Have Skills

1. Strong experience delivering enterprise size projects
   multi module platforms complex workflows role based access control and integration heavy systems
2. Hands on experience with automation tools
   Playwright or Cypress or Selenium
3. Strong coding skills in one language
   Java or TypeScript JavaScript or Python
4. Strong API testing and automation experience
   Postman plus Rest Assured or equivalent
5. Experience owning automation frameworks with reusable utilities coding standards and maintainable patterns
6. CI CD integration experience
   Jenkins GitHub Actions Azure DevOps GitLab CI or similar
7. Cloud application testing experience on AWS Azure or GCP
   environments deployments configuration validation logging and monitoring awareness
8. Strong leadership skills to build and run a QA team
   hiring mentoring task planning reviews and stakeholder communication
9. Strong defect management and RCA skills with clear reporting and prevention focus
10. Excellent communication to work with global stakeholders
