QA Tester

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
• Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
• Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites
• Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
• Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review.
• Communicate effectively with developers and QA peers and other stakeholders in the organization.
• Execute planned testing tasks and provide timely and accurate analysis of findings
• Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of problems
• Demonstrates ability to multi-task and re-prioritize responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems).
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Present innovative ideas and suggestions for the enhancement and improvement.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• College or University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology Business Administration or another relevant field is desired
• 6+ years' experience in manual and automation QA testing along with writing test scripts of various test phases like integration, regression, system etc.
• Experience in automation tools like Selenium.
• Understanding of UI, Cross-browser compatibility, Batch jobs, Message brokers, general web functions and standards
• Experience with Web Services testing tools like SOAPUI, POSTMAN (REST, SOAP, etc.) is needed to be successful in this position
• Familiarity with SQL/MySQL databases and their declarative query languages
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Experienced on automation tools like Selenium and QTP is must.
