QA Tester

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented QA Tester with 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet high standards of quality, performance, and reliability through structured manual and/or automated testing processes. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to deliver defect-free software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution:
• Analyze requirement docments, functional specifications, and use cases to create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Perform different types of testing including functional, regression, system, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Execute manual or automated test cases and log bugs with detailed information.
• Bug Reporting & Tracking:
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
• Re-test resolved issues and provide test closure reports.
• Work closely with development teams for quick resolution of bugs and retesting.
• Automation (If Applicable):
• Write and maintain basic automation scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Postman, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate in enhancing test automation coverage and maintaining test suites.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain clear and concise test documentation including test plans, test cases, defect logs, and execution reports.
• Provide timely feedback and reporting to QA leads and stakeholders.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings (Agile environment).
• Quality Improvement:
• Suggest improvements to testing processes and tools.
• Assist in improving the efficiency and coverage of the QA process.Ensure adherence to defined quality standards and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of professional experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience in web, mobile, and/or API testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or QTest.
• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to validate backend data.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
