Job Description

QA Team Lead

Roles & Responsibilities:

Help ensure product quality through the planning and execution of product testing, meeting the highest standards of reliability, user-friendliness, security, and performance.
Groom, lead, and monitor a team of
test engineers
.
Manage team deliverables, guide them, and help troubleshoot issues they encounter.
Conduct application testing on both
web applications
.
Create test cases based on Functional Specifications.
Execute test cases and perform functional and backend verifications.
Manage
defect tracking
with scrum tools like
JIRA, Phabricator
, etc.
Prepare
test plans and test reports
with complete status of product quality.
Participate in all aspects of product design and testing within a highly collaborative team.

Required Skills:

Experience in creating test cases based on Functional Specifications.
Experience in executing test cases and performing functional and backend verifications.
Proficiency in defect tracking and management with scrum tools like JIRA, Phabricator, etc.
Experience in preparing test plans and test reports with complete status of product quality.
Understanding of web concepts like
HTTP, HTML, sessions, cookies
, etc.
Understanding of
databases and basic queries
.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with
Test Automation Tools
.
Experience with leading a team of QA engineers.
Strong time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually; must be a self-starter.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with testing of modern web applications.
Understanding and basic knowledge of
AJAX, REST APIs
, etc.

QUALIFICATION:

Formal education in Computer Science theory (B.E. / B. Tech. Comp Sci, MCS, MCA, CDAC).
