Job Description

Skill Sets Required:

10+ years of hands on experience in performance testing, covering load, stress, volume, scalability,failover, and resiliency testing.
Hands-on experience with open-source performance testing tools like JMeter/Jython.
Experience performing performance testing for enterprise applications supporting concurrent userload of several thousands
Experience with commercial performance testing tools such as LoadRunner.
Proven ability to generate comprehensive performance testing reports using open-source tools.
Fast learner and curiosity to self-learn industry best practices and adopt them at work
Deep understanding of container technologies and experience in designing, investigating,
analysing and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise systems
Experience with Profiling and tracing tools like Yourkit, JProbe, AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk for memory and CPU optimization.
Experience in troubleshooting performance issues in distributed systems.
Front-end Webpage Testing skills is preferred.
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices platform is a must.
It is essential to have knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP.This knowledge will help in understanding how web pages are built and how they function.
Strong analytical skills are necessary to interpret data and identify patterns, trends, and issuesrelated to webpage load and performance.
The ability to troubleshoot issues related to webpage load and performance is critical to identify the root cause of performance issues and take corrective actions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Gather performance requirements and capacity planning using templates, logs, and monitoring tools.
Perform end-to-end performance testing, including load testing, endurance testing, stress testing,volume testing, scalability testing, spike testing failover testing, and fault resiliency testing.
Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity, and scalability.
Work with domain teams to understand workload models for each system and gather performanceRequirements
Create performance test plans and scenarios and develop test scripts in JMeter to meet theobjectives of the performance test plan.
Perform Load tests using JMeter and analyse root causes of performance issues and recommendcorrective actions.
Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement.
Perform detailed analysis using performance monitoring tool and identify potential system andresources bottlenecks.
Shift left and first-time quality - Automate Performance testing and integrate it to the existing
CI/CD pipelines for a better quality and engineering experience.
Setup performance test and performance regression testing guidelines and standards
Perform Chaos testing using litmus chaos or other tools & set up standards for CI/CD integration.
Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis and tuning.
Analyse thread dumps, heap dumps, kernel logs, network stats, APM metrics, application logs totroubleshoot CPU/Memory/Resource hot spots, API latency and application/platform health.
Analyse and identify root-cause and fix complex performance problems involving multiple teams,networks, and software in GCP that relate to scaling and performance.
Work with web development tools such as Fiddler/Wireshark for capturing and analysing networktraffic, identifying issues related to webpage load and performance, and troubleshooting issuesrelated to web page functionality. Generate comprehensive reports using open-source tools to analyse performance testing resultsand share proactively with stakeholders
Collaborate with development teams to ensure performance testing is integrated into the development lifecycle.
Design and implement end to end performance test strategies, plans, and scripts.
Check production customer usage pattern to model data and load.
Triage production customer performance issues to avoid similar problems in the future
Continuously monitor application performance and provide insights for optimization.
Contribute to the enhancement of QA processes and methodologies to improve performancetesting efficiency.
Ability to analyse architecture and identify probable performance bottlenecks and deviseperformance test strategy around that
