As an Automation Engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring the robustness, security, and performance of the software products. Your responsibilities involve leading automation testing efforts within your squad, collaborating with developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to guarantee high-quality software delivery. Your expertise is pivotal in implementing continuous testing practices, enhancing test coverage, and seamlessly integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to uphold product quality and reliability. - Apply testing expertise in principles like BDD and continuous testing methodologies. - Execute and manage tests utilizing tools such as Cucumber, JMeter, Playwright, Appium, and Postman. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enhancing release efficiency. - Perform security, performance, accessibility, usability, and inclusion testing to detect and address potential risks. - Engage in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to facilitate QA process enhancement. - Share knowledge and best practices to elevate the QA team's standards and methodologies. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of professional experience in automation testing, with a preference for FinTech experience. - Profound knowledge of testing principles, practices, and methodologies, including BDD. - Proficiency in tools like Cucumber, Jest, JMeter, Playwright, Appium, and Postman. - Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript for test scripting. - Strong comprehension of continuous testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar). - Solid understanding of software development processes and a risk-based testing approach. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. - Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with prior experience in Agile environments.
