Job Description

Role Overview: As a Software Tester, you will operate within a team to optimize effectiveness and productivity. You are expected to collaborate with team members, demonstrate competence in manual software testing techniques, and have a foundational understanding of Agile methodologies. Your responsibilities will include understanding defect tracking, creating and executing test cases, and exhibiting attention to detail. It is important for you to understand domain-specific terminology and processes, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and actively engage in team meetings. Building respectful relationships within the team, communicating needs and goals to the lead, and identifying and raising problems and risks are crucial aspects of your role. Additionally, you should follow detailed directions, receive feedback from teammates, and keep the team informed of deliverables" progress. Proactively contributing to discussions in agile ceremonies, raising concerns during daily stand-up meetings, and testing features and bug fixes are also part of your key responsibilities. Continuous learning about the system and focusing on requirements and their implications on regression testing are essential. Qualifications Required: - Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in functional and integration testing or a related field. - Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Technical Skills: Basic understanding of software testing methodologies, familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail), and knowledge of HTML and CSS. - Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint). - Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Analytical Skills: Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others. - Knowledge: Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.,
