QA Manual Engineer ( SDLC, JIRA, Web Technologies)

Job Description

Software Requirements: Proficiency in manual testing of software applications. Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla). Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Overall Responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications. Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing on web and mobile applications. Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability. Participate in requirements reviews and provide input on testability and design. Ensure that products meet quality standards before release. Communicate testing progress and results to project stakeholders. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies for efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in creating and maintaining testing documentation. Experience: 5-6 years of experience in manual testing of software applications. Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred. Knowledge of automation testing tools is a plus. ISTQB certification or equivalent is desirable. Day-to-Day Activities: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform various types of manual testing on web and mobile applications. Identify and document defects, and manage them through bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback. Participate in requirements reviews and offer input on testability and design. Ensure that software products meet quality standards before release. Communicate testing progress and results to project stakeholders. Continuously seek to improve testing processes and methodologies. Create and maintain comprehensive testing documentation. Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders across different geographies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently. Effective time management and prioritization skills.
