QA Lead | TVS Digital | Hosur

We are looking for a QA Lead with strong expertise in test management and strategy with strong leadership and mastery of the entire testing lifecycle process.

As a QA Lead, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing software quality assurance processes during new product development mobile application supporting our 2-wheeler product line. This is a cross-functional role that requires strong collaboration with software development teams, hardware engineering, manufacturing units, and customer support.

Role Description:

• Lead and manage the QA team responsible for testing embedded software, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and backend systems. \
• Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases for new features and system enhancements.
• Ensure quality and performance standards are met for software integrated into vehicle ECUs, infotainment systems, and telematics modules.
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams to validate functional, performance, and safety requirements.
• Own defect tracking, root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution in coordination with developers.
• Develop and manage test automation frameworks for regression and performance testing.
• Review technical documents (FSDs, system architecture) and contribute to risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with automotive software standards like ASPICE, ISO 26262. Report QA metrics, test progress, and risks to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and team capabilities.

Skills:

1. Test Strategy & Planning:

   Proven ability to

   design, document, and present a complete QA strategy

   for a major product or feature release. This includes defining scope, entrance/exit criteria, and resource allocation.

2. Stakeholder Communication & Risk:

   Expert skill in

   communicating quality metrics, project risks, and testing progress

   clearly to non-technical business stakeholders and executive leadership.

3. Process Leadership:

   Mandatory experience implementing and enforcing QA processes (e.g., Defect Triage, Root Cause Analysis, Regression Planning) across a development team.

4. Tool Mastery:

   Deep proficiency with a Test Management/ALM tool like

   JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail

   for comprehensive test case management, execution tracking, and reporting.
