Qa Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and user stories to design effective

  test plans

  and

  automation test cases

  .
• Develop, maintain, and execute

  automated test scripts

  using

  Playwright or Selenium

  .
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as

  GitLab /

  JIRA / Azure DevOps / Bugzilla

  .
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA leads, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
• Contribute to the development of automation frameworks and utilities.
• Perform

  API testing

  using tools like

  Postman

  , and optionally automate API tests using frameworks such as

  REST Assured / Playwright API

  .
• Maintain test documentation: test cases, automation reports, execution logs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Support CI/CD integration of automated tests using

  Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI

  .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.

• 2–3 years of experience in automation testing (MANDATORY)

  .
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Playwright or Selenium

  (at least one is required; both is a plus).
• Experience with programming languages such as

  JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python

  (based on automation stack).
• Good understanding of

  test automation frameworks

  (Page Object Model, Hybrid Framework, BDD, etc.).
• Experience with

  test runners

  like Karma, Jest, Mocha or PyTest.
• Knowledge of

  CI/CD pipelines

  and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Ability to write and execute

  SQL queries

  for backend validation.
• Strong understanding of

  SDLC, STLC, QA methodologies

  , and Agile processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with

  Selenium, Playwright API testing

  , or mobile automation (Appium).
• Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or K6.
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Exposure to cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
