Qa Engineer

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/DELIVERABLES

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of insurance products and systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
• Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports on software quality and test execution.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and other teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Assist in the creation and ongoing review of KPIs, SLAs and OKRs relating to QA activities in your team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging QA technologies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Experience in the field of QA engineering in a .NET + Azure based development environment.
• Experience in automation in testing using tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Experience in Performance testing using tools such as JMeter.
• Experience in helping enhance a QA strategy and supporting the team in its adherence.
• Track record of helping more junior members of the team upskilling and growing.
• Must have worked closely with developers, ideally as part of a single delivery team.
• Good understanding of the Azure platform and testing and monitoring technologies that it supports.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (ideally Azure DevOps) and demonstrable understanding of methodologies.
• Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigations across web, mobile and data applications.
• Knowledge and experience across the following:
• Design patterns
• Git version control
• Agile development using Scrum.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with offshore and onshore development teams.
• Experience working in complex product domain.
