QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer at TransPerfect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products through rigorous testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will work with a fast-growing team to guide one of TransPerfect's flagship products, following Agile methodology guidelines to QA and test web-applications. Your responsibilities will include innovating and automating test cases with CI/CD and cross-browser enablement, as well as automating API (web services and RESTful) and backend database testing using existing and new tools. You will be expected to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks, and implement and maintain automation frameworks. Working closely with the QA lead, you will coordinate testing activities for each release and develop test plans and test cases for multiple projects of varying sizes. Additionally, you will conduct thorough manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure that product functionality meets specifications. Maintaining QA documentation, documenting and tracking defects, and collaborating with the development team for timely resolution will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be encouraged to proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall quality of our products. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree and proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role in a software development environment. You must have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as professional experience in JAVA/C# programming languages. Experience with testing RESTful web services and APIs, GUI-driven testing, and programmatic testing is essential, along with familiarity with Continuous Integration systems like Azure DevOps. Proficiency in bug tracking systems such as TFS, JIRA, and Azure DevOps is also required. Experience in Selenium, Playwright automation frameworks, developing manual test cases, and converting them into automated scripts is important. You should have a track record of QA Testing experience, including the ability to write test plans with traceability to acceptance criteria listed in requirements. Experience in developing test strategies and plans for complex system implementations, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role. Desired skills and experiences include a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably computer science or related, or equivalent work experience. A development background in .NET, JAVA, or similar languages is required, along with performance and load testing experience. Being comfortable working across time zones and having a good understanding of business processes will be beneficial for this position.,
