QA Engineer , Software

As a Software Test Technician at Light & Wonder, your role involves debugging software products to ensure quality standards are maintained. You will develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing purposes. Your responsibilities also include analyzing test results, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with development engineers to resolve issues. Additionally, you will provide feedback on technical appraisals and ensure quality computer integration into scientific computation functions. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on technical and functional specifications. - Own end-to-end testing of assigned products, including regression, system, integration, and performance testing. - Ensure product compliance with technical and regulatory standards. - Analyze test outcomes, identify root causes of defects, and recommend data-driven solutions. - Collaborate with development, product, and external certification bodies to resolve issues. - Reproduce and troubleshoot field-reported bugs. - Test and validate hardware/firmware. - Maintain accurate documentation of test activities and outcomes. - Deliver quality reports and risk assessments regularly. Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Technical Skills & Knowledge: - Strong analytical and debugging skills. - Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira). - Familiarity with test automation tools is a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. - Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. - Working knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SAS, ASP, G2S, QCOM) is beneficial. - Proficiency in programming languages, scripting, test management tools, and defect management tools is preferred. - Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with diverse professionals. - Knowledge of prompt engineering is advantageous.,
