What are we looking for: We are seeking a highly motivated QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, scripting, and continuous integration, with a developer mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Location : Chennai Experience: 58 Years Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Test Automation Development Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing. Automate smoke, regression, functional, and integration test suites across applications. Write clear, maintainable test scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. Quality Engineering & Testing Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Participate in code reviews and incorporate testability into software design. Apply shift-left principles to catch defects early in the development lifecycle. Tooling & Infrastructure Work with tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, and Docker to run automated tests and manage test environments. Ensure test coverage and stability across platforms and devices. Contribute to performance and reliability testing initiatives where applicable. Defect Management & Reporting Log, track, and analyze defects using tools like JIRA, Azure Boards, or equivalent. Generate and maintain test documentation, dashboards, and reports. Provide timely feedback on application readiness and release quality. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience in QA automation and test development. Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, Postman, REST Assured, etc. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and STLC. Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) is a plus. ISTQB or other QA certifications are a bonus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
