QA Engineer

About the job:

We are looking for passionate engineers to join our R&D department to contribute to Enterprise products which are used in mission critical applications.

We are seeking a QA Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to lead testing efforts and ensure software quality. You will design test plans, execute manual and automated tests, and collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and bug tracking is required. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

Required Skills:

• Candidates should have strong Computer Science fundamentals and object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• Candidates should be familiar with cloud technologies and be willing to learn and work on the same.
• Candidates should have experience implementing features with Advanced Java and JavaEE concepts, with a good understanding of common design patterns and their practical applications.
• Candidates should be able to effectively communicate with all the stakeholders and refine the features, design with good architectural practices, implement them with good quality.
• Candidates should advocate best engineering practices and bring in innovation in the products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.

• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure product quality, functionality, and performance.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar defect management systems.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure resolution of issues.

• Participate in regression, integration, and system testing as part of release cycles.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in core Java based product testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools
• Strong working Knowledge of Java
• Strong knowledge of BDD, Selenium, protractor web automation tool, Cucumber.
• Hands-on experience with both API test frameworks and black box testing
• Working knowledge of CI/CD with automation frameworks like Salt, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible is good to have.
• Working knowledge of Docker.
• Assure proper root cause analysis and drive timely issue resolution of Product Issues.
• Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail, Strong verbal and written communication skills, Confidence and drive to uphold quality gates
• Understands product development and software lifecycle in leading technology companies.
• Great partner to Product Management, both participating in and driving agile development process.
• Experience with incident management, cloud monitoring systems (Zabbix, Icinga or Nagios)
