What you'll do

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at DMart Labs, you will be a key contributor to our product quality. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual tests to ensure our software meets the highest standards. You will work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements, identify risks, and build robust testing solutions. Your primary focus will be on building and scaling our automation capabilities for APIs, microservices, and user-facing applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and stability.
• Conduct API testing using Postman, including validation of request/response structures, status codes, headers, and payloads.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through the entire bug lifecycle using the JIRA tool.
• Design and execute various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Support test automation efforts by writing simple scripts or assisting automation teams in test case identification.
• Collaborate closely with software development and product management teams within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality products.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by identifying bottlenecks and suggesting actions for improvement.
• Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in quality assurance and automation.

What you'll need (Qualifications):

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software QA and manual testing.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficient in test case design, with a keen eye for detail and edge-case handling.
• Solid experience in API testing using Postman — including writing tests in the Tests tab (JavaScript), using environments, and chaining requests.
• Basic understanding of test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar (hands-on experience is a plus).
• Experience with testing APIs and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Solid experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance and/or security testing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and understanding of basic cloud-native/application architectures.
• Familiarity with database testing and the ability to query databases (NoSQL, MongoDB is a plus).
