Role & responsibilities

Mandatory Skills

Strong experience in
test automation using Playwright and/or Cypress
Hands-on experience with
modern browser automation tools
(Playwright/Cypress) over Selenium
Solid understanding of
cross-browser testing
(Chromium, Firefox, WebKit)
Experience in
JavaScript / TypeScript
for writing automation scripts
Knowledge of
end-to-end (E2E), integration, and regression testing
Familiarity with
CI/CD pipeline integration
(GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
Experience with
parallel test execution
and test optimization
Strong understanding of
web technologies
: HTML, CSS, DOM, HTTP, REST APIs

Playwright-Specific Expectations

Experience with
multi-browser and multi-context testing
Ability to handle
multi-tab scenarios, iframes, and pop-ups
Knowledge of
mobile emulation and responsive testing

Cypress-Specific Expectations

Experience with
browser-based testing
(primarily Chromium-based browsers)
Strong understanding of
Cypress architecture and execution model
Ability to leverage
automatic waits, time-travel debugging, and test retries
Experience handling
network stubbing and API interception

Testing & Quality Practices

Strong understanding of
test design patterns
and best practices
Experience in
debugging flaky tests
and improving test reliability
Ability to collaborate with developers to improve
testability
Knowledge of
version control systems
(Git)
