QA Automation with Guidewire

Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance

• Test Planning & Execution

  : Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases (both manual and automated) based on project requirements and functional specifications.

• Functional Testing

  : Performing functional, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of Guidewire modules to ensure they align with business rules and requirements.

• Automation Development

  : Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools like Selenium and programming languages such as Java or JavaScript.

• Defect Management

  : Identifying, documenting, tracking, and ensuring the closure of defects using tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps, and collaborating with developers and business analysts for timely resolution.

• API Testing

  : Testing integrations and APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI.

• Agile Collaboration

  : Participating in Agile sprint ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Documentation

  : Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Guidewire Expertise

  : Hands-on experience with one or more Guidewire applications: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter.

• Insurance Domain Knowledge

  : Strong understanding of P&C insurance industry knowledge, including claims management and policy lifecycle processes.

• Automation Tools

  : Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks such as:
• Selenium WebDriver
• Java, JavaScript, or Python
• BDD Frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
• API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured)

• Database Knowledge

  : Ability to write basic SQL scripts to query databases for data validation.

• Methodology & Tools

  : Experience working in Agile/Scrum or SAFe Agile methodologies and using project management tools like JIRA, ALM, Rally, or Confluence.

• Communication

  : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
