QA Automation Test Engineer

The QA Automation Test Engineer will play a critical role in testing applications in an automated fashion for Lab49 clients. You will be part of a collaborative and innovative project team, engaging in direct client-facing interactions. This role offers you the opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise to develop automated testing capabilities for applications that address business challenges and enhance performance for clients. Your responsibilities will include designing and constructing advanced testing capabilities for applications across various platforms, all while comprehending our products from both a technical and business standpoint. You will collaborate with leadership, product owners, other technologists, and users to develop functional testing software that aligns with business and technical priorities. Additionally, you will be tasked with dissecting complex issues into refined solutions using tools like Cucumber, Perfecto, and Selenium, as well as working with data sources, APIs, and development teams to enhance testing efficiency and identify non-compliance with requirements. Furthermore, your role will involve collaborating with development engineers to pinpoint defects, contribute to enhancing software quality before distribution to Lab49 clients, and promote test-driven development practices. To excel in this position, a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience is required, along with proven experience in software-based automated testing, familiarity with tools like Cucumber and Perfecto (or equivalent), and a background in Computer Science or related field. Experience in working with data via REST and JSON, operating in an Agile environment, and understanding the development landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies will be beneficial.
