Job Description: We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Java and Playwright (or Cypress with a willingness to learn Playwright) to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and backend applications. Create test harnesses and infrastructure to support automated testing. Implement end-to-end testing for frontend and backend applications with a strong focus on OOPs concepts . Participate in the full SDLC by working closely with developers, business teams, external vendors, and QA teams . Engage in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD) . Own the quality and timeliness of deliveries , ensuring a high level of software reliability. Collaborate with stakeholders to define QA standards and drive best practices in test automation . Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects in a distributed system environment . Communicate key issues and progress updates regularly in an accurate and timely manner. Required Skills Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation using Java . Strong experience in test automation for web applications using Selenium, BDD Cucumber, and Java . Experience in backend automation using Rest Assured . Solid understanding of testing concepts, database fundamentals, and OOPs principles . Hands-on experience in different testing types including client/server, white-box, black-box, positive/negative, and relational database testing . Strong knowledge of various test phases such as functional, integration, and regression testing . Ability to analyze requirements , design test cases, and automate efficiently. Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools and a test-driven development approach . Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking , and attention to detail . Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Bonus Skills: Experience with Protractor, TypeScript, or Python . Exposure to performance and security testing . Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and cloud platforms . Educational Qualification: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field. Master s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred)
