Job Description

The company is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium, Java, Karate, and SQL for API testing. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and running automated tests to ensure the quality of the software products and services. You will collaborate with various teams to understand requirements, perform basic SQL queries for data validation, and contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java. - Develop and execute API automation tests using the Karate framework. - Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and product owners to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Perform basic SQL queries to validate data and support backend testing. - Enhance the automation framework for scalability and reusability. - Participate in defect triage and root cause analysis. - Document test cases, results, and defects clearly and concisely. - Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver and Java for UI automation. - Hands-on experience with the Karate framework for REST API automation testing. - Proficiency in writing basic SQL queries for data validation. - Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Familiarity with Git for version control. - Experience with JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have): - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI. - Knowledge of BDD/TDD concepts. - Experience with other test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber. - Exposure to cloud-based test environments.
