Python Developer

Role Overview: As a Core Python Developer with strong experience in MongoDB at HealthSigns, you will play a crucial role in developing backend services for the HealthSigns platform. You will be responsible for working on various services including EMR, Smart Scan, Smart Labs, transcription pipelines, and AI-driven clinical workflows. Your primary focus will be on building the Intelligence Kernel, which involves integrating AI reasoning, automation, and healthcare-grade data processing. Key Responsibilities: - Develop backend services and REST APIs using Python. - Design MongoDB schemas, indexes, aggregation pipelines, and optimize query performance. - Implement background workers, task queues, and scalable data flows. - Integrate with AI/LLM outputs such as transcription, Smart Scan, and clinical reasoning. - Ensure system reliability, security, role-based access, and detailed audit logging. - Handle complex healthcare workflows involving EMR, orders, labs, and billing modules. Data & Platform Integration: - Convert unstructured model output into validated, structured clinical data. - Build interfaces between backend, AI engines, and external systems like HIS, LIS, and EMR. - Implement fallbacks, confidence scoring, and error-handling mechanisms. - Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams to deliver production-ready modules. Qualification Required: - Proficiency in Python (4+ years), FastAPI/Flask, microservices, and REST API development. - Strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB, including schema design, aggregation pipelines, and performance optimization. - Experience in building scalable backend systems with a good understanding of authentication, RBAC, logging, and integrations. - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and strong debugging skills. - Bonus skills include healthcare domain experience, familiarity with OCR/LLM/NLP pipelines, and cloud exposure in Azure/AWS.
