Python Developer

Overview of the Role

As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend solutions, leveraging cloud technologies and modern frameworks. This position is instrumental in supporting HCLTechs digital transformation initiatives, enabling clients to achieve operational excellence and seamless technology integration. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient software solutions that drive business value.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python and Django, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
• Integrate cloud technologies (preferably GCP, but also AWS or Azure) for application deployment, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
• Write efficient SQL queries and manage database schemas to support data-driven features.
• Work closely with front-end developers, QA, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed systems and APIs.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in backend development and cloud computing.

Skill Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Python development, with strong expertise in Django.

• Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP); knowledge of AWS or Azure is also valuable.

• Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Experience with at least one additional Python web framework such as FastAPI or Flask.

• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Other Requirements (Optional)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Relevant cloud or Python certifications are a plus.
