Python Developer / Engineer

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst position is at an intermediate level and involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective in this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Your responsibilities will include utilizing your knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements. You will consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install and support customer exposure systems, and apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications. Additionally, you will analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, conduct testing and debugging, and serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. As an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst, you will also need to identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions. You will resolve issues by selecting solutions based on your technical experience and guided by precedents, with the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment and autonomy. You will act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and/or other team members, appropriately assess risk in business decisions, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The qualifications for this role include having 5-6 years of experience in Python development, strong experience in data engineering and ETL development, familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake), data warehousing, data lake concepts, data integration tools, data governance, data privacy principles, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile development methodologies. You should also demonstrate clear and concise communication skills, problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
