Python / Data Science - Architect

As a Data Scientist in our company, your responsibilities will include: - Using state-of-the-art methods for data mining - Enhancing data collection procedures to include relevant information for building analytic systems - Processing, cleansing, and verifying data integrity for analysis - Conducting ad-hoc analysis and presenting results clearly - Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constantly tracking performance - Selecting features, building, and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques - Defining and documenting architecture, capturing non-functional requirements, preparing estimates, and defining technical solutions - Providing technical leadership to project teams for design to deployment activities, guiding, performing reviews, and resolving technical issues - Analyzing complex business and competitive issues, identifying technical and economic feasibility of proposed data solutions - Managing a machine learning pipeline from raw data acquisition to model execution - Communicating technical information to various audiences including senior management, user community, and staff - Leading planning for the future of the data model and data architecture - Exhibiting advanced visualization skills and creative problem-solving - Interacting with customers to improve their processes for managing equipment - Reviewing and providing counsel for major "Business Case Analysis" efforts - Developing interdependencies between major applications and efforts - Providing project leadership, advice, and counsel on complex aspects of application development and system integration Basic qualifications required for this role are: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience - Seven or more years of relevant experience demonstrating business knowledge and digital analytical skillsets - Curiosity and interest in digital technology and systems - Comfort working in a dynamic environment - Ability to explain complex topics clearly - Expertise in Python and familiarity with concurrency - Track record in architecting and delivering highly available back-end systems - Proficiency with git or similar source control system, and experience with git-based development workflows - Design and consumption of well-tailored REST APIs - Experience in development teams with code reviews - Ability to thrive in agile environments while maintaining coding discipline - Proven ability to take initiative and learn new technologies - Good applied statistics skills, proficiency in SQL, scripting, and programming - Data-oriented personality Desired qualifications include: - Experience with common data science toolkits such as Python, R, Weka, Matlab - Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms - Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, GGplot - Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase,
