Description
As a Data Scientist at our company, you will be responsible for the following: - Data mining using state-of-the-art methods - Enhancing data collection procedures to include information relevant for building analytic systems - Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis - Performing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results clearly - Creating automated anomaly detection systems and tracking their performance constantly - Selecting features, building, and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques - Defining and documenting architecture, capturing non-functional requirements, preparing estimates, and defining technical solutions to proposals - Providing technical leadership to project teams, guiding activities from design to deployment, performing reviews, and resolving technical issues - Analyzing complex business and competitive issues, identifying technical and economic feasibility of proposed data solutions - Managing a machine learning pipeline from raw data acquisitions to model execution - Designing and leading projects with broad implications, addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues - Communicating highly technical information to various audiences, including senior management, the user community, and less-experienced staff - Leading the organization's planning for the future of the data model and data architecture - Exhibiting advanced visualization skills and creative problem-solving - Interacting with customers to understand their operations and improve processes - Reviewing and providing counsel for major "Business Case Analysis" efforts - Developing interdependencies between major applications - Providing project leadership, advice, and counsel on the most complex aspects of application development and system integration Basic Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of relevant experience - Seven or more years of progressively responsible experiences demonstrating breadth of business knowledge and depth of digital and analytical skillsets - Curiosity and deep interest in digital technology and systems - Comfort in dynamic environments where digital is evolving as a core offering - Ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly - Expertise in Python with concurrency knowledge - Track record of architecting and delivering highly available back-end systems for large-scale consumer experiences - Proficiency in git or similar source control system, and experience with git-based development workflows - Ability to design and consume well-tailored REST APIs - Experience working in development teams with varying levels of seniority - Thriving in agile environments while maintaining coding discipline for high-quality end consumer apps - Proven ability to take initiative and dive into new technology areas - Self-motivated with a passion for learning, analyzing technology trade-offs, and shipping products - Applied statistics skills and proficiency in SQL, scripting, and programming - Data-oriented personality Desired Qualifications for this role include: - Experience with common data science toolkits like Python, R, Weka, Matlab - Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests - Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, GGplot - Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase Join us in this exciting opportunity to apply your expertise and contribute to cutting-edge data science projects!,
