Job Overview

Senior Python Developer

You will collaborate closely with security architects, DevOps engineers, infrastructure teams, and occasionally research groups to deliver impactful security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based cybersecurity tools and applications.
• Develop and manage secure data pipelines and threat detection systems.
• Automate security processes and workflows using Python, Java, and Shell scripting (BASH).
• Work with OVAL XML definitions for vulnerability and compliance scanning.
• Support basic sysadmin tasks on Windows and Linux environments to facilitate security tooling (knowledge of CIS benchmarks is a plus).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security architects, DevOps, and researchers to integrate security solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, security audits, and performance tuning.
• Stay updated with cybersecurity trends, best practices, and emerging threats.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6 to 10 years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong proficiency in Python with solid understanding of secure coding practices.
• Experience with Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with OVAL XML for vulnerability and compliance assessment.
• Proficient in Shell scripting (BASH) for automation tasks.
• Basic sysadmin skills in Windows and Linux operating systems (not essential but preferred).
• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and security compliance frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience working in agile and collaborative team environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity tool development or related security domains.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
